Shared apartments (WG-Zimmer) can be just as expensive as whole apartments for a few reasons. Firstly, the demand for shared living spaces in popular urban areas can be high, leading to higher prices. Additionally, the cost of living in general, including rent, may be high in these areas, which can drive up the prices for both shared and whole apartments. Furthermore, shared apartments often come with the added benefit of already being furnished and including utilities, which can contribute to their higher cost compared to whole apartments. **
